ACTIVITY GROUP (Sunday School)

Don’t just sit at home on a Sunday morning:(

come and join us and have great fun...

we do:)

This is the group for youngsters in our Church who meet every Sunday morning during School Term time only. We join with the adults for the first ten minutes of Morning Worship then leave to continue our activities in the adjoining Hall.

We follow an ecumenical scheme which involves stories, games and craft activities all of which are structured to the various age groups.

We take part in All Age Worship and also the Holy Communion services and other special events , some outside Church where on occasion we make use of the Church Minibus to pursue outdoor activities at various Island locations.

We take the care of your children very seriously and look to provide a safe, happy, friendly spiritual learning environment for the children.

We are always reviewing areas of the building to ensure that the environment is safe.  If you see anything that needs repairing, covering up or could be a danger to children please let us know.

All adults who are leading children’s groups and activities at Georgetown Methodist Church have an Enhanced CRB Disclosure for ‘working with children’.

There are adults who have the First Aid qualifications for ‘working with children’ and there are many members of our congregations who have First Aid knowledge/qualifications to deal with an emergency prior to Paramedics arriving.

Each week we follow the ecumenical learning programme ‘Roots’.  The website is www.rootsontheweb.com . Georgetown Church subscribe to Roots and have a ‘log in’ and ‘password’.  Please ask us if you would like it.
